Getting There from Punta Mita
The trailhead to Monkey Mountain is located near the small town of Higuera Blanca, approximately 15 minutes from Punta Mita by car. You can reach it easily by taxi or rental car. Keep in mind that return transportation is not readily available at the trailhead, so arrange your ride in advance or plan to catch a local bus back to town.
What to Expect on the Trail
The hike takes about 2.5 to 3 hours round-trip and is considered moderately challenging.
